The race:

The Tour of Provence stage race consists of a prologue plus three road stages.

The race was first organized in 2016.

Provence is a region in Southeast France.

The race is intended to be a replacement for the now discontinued Tour du Vaucluse and Tour du Sud-Est.

The race is organized by the French newspaper La Provence. The race is currently (2018) run by Serge Pascal, who also runs the Tour du Haut Var.

Because of unpaid bills left from the 2022 edition, the UCI refused to include the 2023 edition of the race in its road calender and on January 19 the organizer announced that the race would not be run.

The race currently occupies a place in the UCI's February calender.
