The race:
The Tour du Doubs is a single-day road race formerly held in September in the Doubs region of France. Doubs is on the eastern border of France, next to Switzerland.
Starting in 2023 the race has been run in April.
The race was classed 1.3 in 2004 and elevated to 1.1 in 2005. Since 2010 the race has been part of the Coupe de France series.
The race is generally about 200 kilometers long. Historically it has started in the city of Morteau and finishes in Pontarlier
As of 2021, only one rider has been able to win the race twice, Jérôme Coppel in 2010 and 2012.
