News.com.au posted this sad story:
Professional road racing cyclist Rohan Dennis has been charged with causing the death of his wife, Olympian Melissa Hoskins — after a crash that occurred in Adelaide's inner north on Saturday.
South Australia police said emergency services were called to Avenel Gardens Road in Medindie just after 8pm, following reports that a woman had been hit by a car.
Police said Ms Hoskins suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment, but she died overnight.
Mr Dennis was arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving without due care and endangering life — he was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in March.

32-year-old Melissa Hoskins was known as a former track and road racing cyclist who announced her retirement from professional cycling in 2017.
A list of her achievements online state that the West Australian competed in the 2012 London Olympics in the women's cycling Team Pursuit and also in the 2016 Rio Olympics where she was involved in a high-speed crash at the Olympic Velodrome during training.
Ms Hoskins also competed in several national track championships and UCI Track Cycling World Championships.
Social media posts by the couple show that they married in Margaret River, south of Perth in 2018.
33-year-old Rohan Dennis' online achievements state that he has competed in several Grand Tour competitions including Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana.
The pro cyclist has also won several medals representing Australia, winning a silver for a Team Pursuit at the 2012 London Olympics and a bronze for a time trial at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The couple were initially listed on the Santos Tour Down Under website to lead a family ride event at next year's cycling event in Adelaide — but those details have since been removed from the website.
Police said Ms Hoskin's death is the 114th life lost on SA roads this year, compared to 71 at the same time last year.

Bagioli’s Team Soudal Quick-Step posted this:
24-year-old Italian racer Andrea Bagioli looked back on the perfect day last October, when he delivered the 950th victory in the team’s history.
“Winning Gran Piemonte made me very happy for a number of reasons. First of all, it was my maiden victory since turning pro in a one-day race on Italian soil. It’s one of the oldest races in Italy, won by some great riders in the past, and to have my name on the roll of honor made me really proud.

"I remember that on that day I felt good from the very start, and when we hit the Alpette climb, which was the hardest of the race, I asked Mattia Cattaneo to go full gas and he did a tremendous job. I took off some twenty kilometers from the finish, and even after the others came across, I remained confident in my chances. We shared the workload in the group all the way to the finish, where I gave my best as I had a lot of confidence in my speed, and took that beautiful victory.
"I had a lot of motivation, as it was my penultimate race in the colors of this amazing squad that is Soudal Quick-Step, with whom I spent my first four years as a pro rider, and I was glad I could repay them for all their support during this time. I improved a lot here and I am where I am today thanks to them. I was sad to be leaving, but at the same time, I was happy that I could thank the Wolfpack for four unforgettable years with such a success that helped the team reach another fantastic milestone.”
