The race: Here's the report from second-place Tom Pidcock's Team INEOS Grenadiers.
Tom Pidcock overtook Eli Iserbyt in the closing moments of the final lap, to then sprint to second as Mathieu van der Poel took the victory in the night race.
The Yorkshire rider started on the second row and was able to move through the field to join a front group that quickly detached itself from the bunch.
Pidcock then pushed the pace at the end of the second lap and reduced the group further, which then stabilised in the following laps.
He was then one of two riders able to react when Van der Poel attacked on lap four with the race-winning move, and chased the world champion with Iserbyt.
The battle for second came down to the final lap, when Pidcock made a late move on the inside of Iserbyt to overtake the Belgian, before sprinting to the line to secure his fourth podium of the season.

The race: Here's the race report from Global Cycling Network:
After waiting several weeks to pick up her first win of the season - which she did in Gavere on Tuesday - Puck Pieterse quickly picked up her second with a solo victory in Diegem.
Unlike the slightly more patient Van der Poel, Pieterse attacked in the very first lap, taking advantage of the first off-camber section to move away from the field. Initially, the Dutch champion was joined by Inge van der Heijden (Crelan-Corendon) but she soon rode her off her wheel and went solo.
Pieterse was fast and smooth even through the most difficult parts of the technical course, building up a lead of around 20 seconds over the first three laps, with Van der Heijden chasing, followed by Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado (Alpecin-Deceuninck).
