Campagnolo is reportedly preparing to cut 120 jobs from its Vicenza headquarters – a reduction of around 40 per cent of the Italian firm's 300 employees – as part of a restructuring plan intended to stabilize the company’s financial position.
According to a report from Il Gazzettino, the component maker has stated that “there is no alternative” to the planned reduction in staff numbers, warning that failing to act could have “dramatic consequences for the company and for the city of Vicenza”.

A 1942 Campagnolo ad.
The report says that Campagnolo has recorded losses exceeding €24 million across the 2023, 2024 and 2025 financial years. The company attributes this to a challenging sector-wide downturn that has affected many manufacturers following the surge in demand during the pandemic era.
Despite additional funding received since November 2024, the report says the company has indicated its current liquidity cannot guarantee continued operation “under present conditions”.
Il Gazzettino reports that the restructuring plan outlined includes a 40 per cent reduction in labor costs. This would involve cutting around 120 positions in Vicenza, with the company suggesting that a smaller workforce would still allow manufacturing to continue at the site. Campagnolo also has a manufacturing facility in Romania.
Campagnolo has reportedly presented a financial plan to banks and potential partners in an effort to reverse the downturn and return the firm to a stable footing.

Danish duo Anders Foldager and Asbjørn Hellemose will continue with Team Jayco AlUla in 2026 after signing new deals.
Foldager has signed a new two-year deal that will take him through to the end of 2027. The 24-year-old has continued to develop as a versatile rider since joining the team ahead of a 2024 season that saw him claim his maiden professional victory at the Okolo Slovenska stage race.
The fast finisher got his first taste of Grand Tour racing in a gruelling edition of La Vuelta a Espana this year and the GreenEDGE Cycling management believe there is more to come from the talented Dane.

Meanwhile, compatriot Hellemose has penned a new one-year deal to stay with Team Jayco AlUla in 2026. The 26-year-old made his return to the WorldTour in 2025 and has proved to be a solid and reliable domestique across a variety of races.
Anders Foldager:
“I’m really happy to extend my stay with the team. It means a lot to know that the team believe in me. I feel good here, and I’m excited to keep working hard, improving every day, and contributing to our success.”
Asbjørn Hellemose:
“I’m really happy to have resigned, I would say last year the team definitely took a chance with me because I didn’t do so many so many road races in 2024, so my goal the whole season has been to establish myself on the WorldTour to show that I am good enough to be at this level.
"I think both the season that I’ve done and also this resigning shows that I have done that, and I’m just really happy to pay the team back for this possibility they gave me to restart my WorldTour career.”
Gene Bates (Sporting Manager):
“We are happy to have both Anders and Asbjørn continue with us into 2026. Anders has already proven what he is capable of by winning races in his first season with us and we can see there is more to come from him. The goal is now to unlock that potential over the next two years with the added experience he has gained.
"With Asbjørn we took a chance with him ahead of last season and we’ve been really pleased with his performances and his approach to this year. He’s a raw talent and a year back in the WorldTour will be a big boost for him heading into 2026.”

Team Bahrain Victorious and MERIDA have mutually agreed to conclude their long-standing partnership after nine highly successful seasons. From the team’s launch in 2017 and the early era as Team Bahrain Merida, MERIDA helped establish the foundations of the project as co-title sponsor, shaping its vision, technical direction, and competitive identity from day one.
From the very beginning, the partnership proved historic, as the team won two Monuments in its first two seasons through Vincenzo Nibali’s triumph at Il Lombardia in 2017 followed by his sensational Milan-San Remo victory in 2018, firmly placing the Bahrain Merida colours onto cycling’s biggest stage.

Across the years that followed, Bahrain Victorious and MERIDA celebrated more defining moments – including Sonny Colbrelli’s iconic Paris-Roubaix victory, numerous Grand Tour stage wins, Matej Mohorič’s legendary San Remo descent with the dropper seat post, and Mohorič’s Gravel World Championship title in 2023, once again showcasing MERIDA’s technical excellence across multiple cycling disciplines.
MERIDA was instrumental in supporting the team’s innovative performance approach. Together they helped pioneer technical advancements that influenced WorldTour racing as a whole – from the early adoption of tubeless tires, to the famous application of the dropper seat post at Milan-San Remo, and the continuous evolution of racing equipment and aerodynamic thinking.
Milan Eržen, Managing Director of Team Bahrain Victorious, shared his appreciation: “MERIDA are more than just partners – they are lifelong friends. They have been part of the family from the very beginning and played an integral role in all of our success. We say goodbye to a great partner who we will be racing against in the near future and who will no doubt continue to find success on the road. From all of us at Bahrain Victorious, it is a huge pleasure and a massive thanks to them.”
