The race: Here's the race organizer's stage six report:

Alexander Kristoff (Intermarché) is the strongest in the bunch in the sprint to the finish in Stavanger

A hard fight to get in the breakaway on today's stage, with Norwegian outfit Team Coop sending several riders on the attack. Ultimately, seven riders got away and got an advantage of 2 minutes after 20 kilometers of the day's stage. The seven riders were Ben Healy (EF Education – Easypost), Corbin Strong (Israel – Premier Tech), Gianni Vermeersch (Alpecin-Fenix), Joel Nicolau (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA), Rhobbe Ghys (Sport Vlaanderen – Baloise), Joshua Gudnitz (Team Coloquick) and Louis Bendixen (Team Coop).

Joel Nicolau took the mountain classifications after crossing the line first at the first categorized climb of the day to Undheim. The riders preparing for the strong winds at the rest of the stage.

At the long flats of Jæren, the pace and the tension was high in the Peloton and it all culminated in a big crash that included stage favorite Mads Pedersen and Mike Teunissen.

The breakaway were enjoying a gap of over 5 minutes at one point during the stage, but this was closed down to only one minute as the riders entered the final circuit in Stavanger. The Peloton set a slow pace on the first climb up Grisabakken and the gap between the riders in front and the main group grew to 2 minutes. This was again reduced as the Peloton increased the pace on the second lap and the gap was once again down to one minute.

The breakaway, with the exception of Corbin Strong and Gianni Vermeersch, were caught by the peloton on the final climb up Grisabakken. The two riders in front were joined by Timo Roosen after a surprise attack on the downhill from Grisabakken, but they were eventually caught. The stage was decided in a bunch sprint were home favorite Alexander Kristoff proved to be the strongest, beating Ethan Vernon and Mads Pederson to the line.

Weather at the finish city of Sandnes at 1:25 PM, local time: 14C (57F), partly cloudy, with the wind from the northwest at 39 km/hr (24 mph). There is just a 1% chance of rain.

The race: Remco Evenepoel (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl) wins the fifth stage to Sandnes and his third stage victory of this year's Tour of Norway, beating Tobias Halland Johannessen and Lucas Plapp in the sprint to the finish.

A large group were able to break away from the Peloton during the start of stage 5 to Sandnes, as the chances for stage victories grew ever smaller. Andrey Amador (INEOS Grenadiers), Frederik Wandahl (BORA Hansgrohe), Michael Valgren and Ben Healy (EF Education), Simone Petilli (Intermarché), Daryl Impey (Israel - Premier Tech), Michel Hessmann (Team Jumbo Visma), Remi Cavagna and Kasper Asgreen (Quick-Step), Kevin Vermaerke (Team DSM), Alex Kirsch (Trek Segafredo), Jimmy Janssens (Alpecin Fenix), Joel Nicolau and Jokin Murguialday (Caja Rural), Nickolas Zukowsky (Human Powered Health), Kamiel Bonneu (Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise), Jonas Wilsly (Uno-X Pro Cycling), Mathias Bregnhøj (Riwal Cycling), Jesper Schultz (Team Coloquick), Andreas Stokbro and Embret Svestad-Bårdseng (Team Coop).

Joel Nicolau more vigilant on the first categorized climb of the day, as he overtook Remco Evenepoel for the provisional lead in the mountain classification up to Jøssingfjorden. Kevin Vermaerke and Embret Svestad-Bårdseng crossing the top right behind him.

No fight for the points at the two intermediate sprints in Tengs and Brusand, with Kevin Vermaerke and Jonas Abrahamsen taking the sprints.

Ben Healy went on the attack on the final categorized climb up Oltedal and built up a significant advantage of over a minute as the riders entered the final circuit in Sandnes. At the first pass of the finish line, the rest of the breakaway was caught by the Peloton, while Healy continued to command a solid lead to the group behind.

Uno-X, INEOS, and Quick-Step taking charge in the Peloton to close the gap to Healy and give their leaders a chance for stage victory. Healy was caught over the top of the final climb of the final lap in Sandnes as Remco Evenepoel single-handedly caught the Irishman. The belgian also took the sprint and his third victory in this year's Tour of Norway, in front of Tobias Halland Johannessen and Lucas Plapp.

Weather at the finish city of Kristiansand at 2:00 PM, local time: 14C (57F), partly cloudy, with the wind from the west at 24 km/hr (15 mph). There is a 50% chance of rain.

The race: Here's the race organizer's stage four summary.

Five riders were able to break away from the Peloton, quickly after the official start in Hovden. The riders Frederik Muff (Team ColoQuick), André Drege (Team Coop), Lucas Eriksson (Riwal Cycling), Kamiel Bonneu (Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise) and Joel Nicolau (Caja Rural) able to get a gap of one and a half minutes after only 7 kilometers. Bora Hansgrohe wanting a piece of the action and sending Shane Archbold to catch the breakaway. 13 kilometers underway, the breakaway growing to six riders.

No hard fight for the points at the intermediate sprints in Valle and Evje, as Frederik Muff crosses the line first in both instances. Kamiel Bonneu and Shane Archbold following shortly after him on the sprint i Valle, and Archbold again taking points in Evje behind Muff. The final sprint point going to Andre Drege.

With the best opportunity for a sprint finish of this year's Tour of Norway and the two strongest sprinters in the peloton, Trek Segafredo and Intermarché took charge of the pace in the peloton. The teams giving everything they had to give Mads Pedersen and Alexander Kristoff the best opportunity for a stage win.

Frustration from Joel Nicolau at the first categorized climb as Andre Drege and Lucas Eriksson beats him to the line and denies him the lead in the mountain classification. The spaniard taking charge to keep the pace in the breakaway high in order to get another chance at points in the mountain classification. The pace was however increased as Alexander Kristoff gave his teammates march orders with 30 kilometers to go to the end.

Quick-Step took charge on the first of two laps around the final circuit in Kristiansand and caught five of the six riders in the original breakaway during the first climb up to Gimlekollen. Kamiel Bonneu managed to hold on until the start of the final round but was ultimately caught. Uno-X then moved their remaining riders to the front of the field to try and give Tobias Halland Johannessen a chance for stage victory. The pace up the final categorized climb was high, but not high enough to drop the strongest sprinters in the field. A final attack from Nathan Van Hooydonck (Team Jumbo-Visma) was made during the downhill and he managed to hold on until the final 500 meters. No properly organized trains in the final meters as Marco Haller opened the sprint and managed to hold on for stage victory in front of Ethan Vernon and home favourite Alexander Kristoff.

Editor's note: Remco Evenpoel reamins the GC leader.

Weather at the finish city of Stavsro at 1:45 PM, local time: 12C (53F), rain showers, with the wind from the southeast at 8 m/hr (5 mph).

The race: Here's the race organizer's stage three summary.

Remco Evenepoel (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl) wins the queen stage of Tour of Norway 2022 after a strong solo attack on the final kilometers to Gaustatoppen.

Eight riders were able to break away from the Peloton early on in today's stage. After 25 km, the distance between the front and the Peloton was already 2 minutes. The largest breakaway so far in the race consisted of Ben King (Human Powered Health), Joel Beltran (Caja Rural), Vito Braet (Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise), Lucas Eriksson (Riwal Cycling), Mads Kristensen (Team Coloquick), Filippo Fiorelli (Bardiani), Floris De Tier (Alpecin Felix) and Andre Drege (Team Coop).

No fight for the points at the only intermediate sprint of the day in Geilo, where Filippo Fiorelli crossed the line first. Behind him were Mads Kristensen and Andre Drege. In the Peloton and with their leader in yellow, Uno-X took charge of the pace.

A bigger fight for the points at the day's first categorized climb up to Høgåsen. Vito Braet had the sharpest legs and crossed the line first in front of Joel Beltran and Andre Drege.

At the start of the second categorized climb to Imingfjell, the gap between the front and the Peloton was two and a half minutes. Not a large enough gap to cause any concern for any of the teams in the Peloton yet. Towards the top, Joel Beltran went on the attack to take maximum points at the climb, with Fiorelli and Kristensen in second and third. A strong crosswind hit the Peloton directly after the summit and Ineos was one again in the front and blew up the field for the second day in a row.

With six riders in the front group, Ineos took charge of the pace in the front, with the Chaves group behind chasing after them. Several attacks on the way to the bottom of the final climb. Only Michel Hessman, however, managed to get a significant gap to the main Peloton. A gap of one and a half minute at the most.

EF Education and Uno-X took charge of the pace in the main Peloton in the start of the final climb and soon caught Michel Hessmann (Jumbo-Visma). Several attacks were made on the final climb but none were able to get a significant advantage over the others.

With 4 kilometers to go to the finish line, Remco Evenepoel set the pace at the front and the group soon disintegrated as the Quick-Step rider went solo to the finish line to take his second win at this year’s Tour of Norway. Behind him came Jay Vine (Alpecin-Fenix) and Lucas Plapp (INEOS Grenadiers).

Weather at the finish city of Geilo at 1:45 PM, local time: 9C (49F), cloudy, with the wind from the west-southwest at 19 km/hr (12 mph). There is a 40% chance of rain.

The race: Here's the race organizer's stage two report.

The breakaway group was quickly let go after the start and consisted of Håkon Aalrust (Team Coop), Aaron van Poucke (Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise), Emil Vinjebo (Riwal) and Jeppe Pallesen (Team Coloquick). Quickly after, Manuele Tarozzi (Bardiani) tried later to catch the breakaway, but began the attack to late.

The first intermediate sprint in Eidfjord was won by Emil Vinjebo in front of Håkon Aalrust and Jeppe Pallesen. In the Peloton, Ineos Grenadiers and Uno-X took charge to control the gap to the breakaway.

The day's only climb and the Tour's longest began with 84.5 km to go. At the bottom of the climb, the gap between the Peloton and the breakaway was 5 minutes. However, Ineos took charge of the pace in the Peloton during the climb and with 74 km to go, the breakaway was caught by the main group. The fast pace set by Ineos meant that many riders had to drop off from the front group and a larger second group was formed, reaching the top 3 minutes behind. Aaron van Poucke won the sprint to the top of the climb in front of Marco Brenner (Team DSM) and Embret Svestad-Bårdseng (Team Coop).

Ineos continued to control the pace in the main Peloton and took advantage of a heavy crosswind to further reduce the size of the Peloton.

At the second intermediate sprint at Haugastøl, Tobias Halland Johannessen, second in the GC, managed to come over the line in third and get a bonus second in the classification. In front of him was Ethan Hayter and his team mate Anders Halland Johannesen.

A main group of under 30 riders reached the finish together and Ethan Hayter won the bunch sprint in front of Tobias Halland Johannesen and Mike Teunissen

Dirty Feet: Early days of the Tour de France

Weather at the finish city of Voss at 1:50 PM, local time: 11C (51F), rain showers, with the wind from the east at 21 km/hr (13 mph). The rain is forecast to end at 3:00 PM, then restart in the evening.

The race: Here's the stage one report from the race organizer:

40 minutes after the start in Bergen, a breakaway consisting of 6 riders was established. Frederik Muff (Team Coloquick), Jens Reynders (Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise), Stephen Bassett (Human Powered Health), Eirik Lunder and Håkon Aalrust (Team Coop), and Jokin Murguialday (Caja Rural) were the lucky ones that got away from the peloton.

The first intermediate sprint in Bjørkheim came after 37.7 km, and Eirik Lunder crossed the line first, in front of his team-mate Håkon Aalrust. In third came Jens Reynders. Behind them, Ineos, Quick-Step and Uno-X took charge in the Peloton.

At the second category climb up to Fossen Bratte, the focus was once again on Team Coop as Eirik Lunder won the sprint to the top of the climb, ahead of his team-mate Håkon Aalrust. Stephen Bassett reached the top in third place.

There was not much of a fight for the second intermediate sprint in Granvin either. At 119.9 km, Eirik Lunder crossed the line first, just ahead of Jens Reynders and Stephen Bassett.

The second climb of the day up Skjervet came after 132.5 km and saw the riders riding past the scenic Skjervsfossen. The Coop riders once again proved that they had the strongest legs in the breakaway with Håkon Aalrust crossing the top first. Behind him came Stephen Bassett and Frederik Muff. Although gaps were created, the breakaway soon got together to start working together again.

After the climb, Quick-Step and Uno-X increased the pace in order to catch the breakaway, and the peloton was stretched to breaking point. At the bottom of the day's final climb to the finish line, the gap between the peloton and the riders in front was gone. There were several attacks on the final climb, but it was ultimately decided in a bunch sprint. Remco Evenepoel had the strongest legs, finishing in front of home favorite Tobias Johannessen and Eduard Prades
