Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria (2.1), Italy

Winners, podium, distance, average speed

The Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria is currently (2012) two-day professional stage race. It is currently held in late January or early February.

Financial problems put the 2012 edition of the race in jeopardy, but funds were found to run a reduced version.

The roots of the only major stage race to be held in Italy's extreme south go back to the 1920s. For most of it's history it has been a single day race. In 2005 it became a stage race, but wasn't held in 2006 or 2007.

The 2008 edition was a stage race, in 2009 it was a single-day race. Since 2010 it has been a stage race.
