Weather at the start/finish city of Les Herbiers at 2:50 PM, local time: 13C (56F), cloudy, with the wind from the north at 13 km/hr (8 mph). There is a 23% chance of rain at 3:00 PM.

The race: Here's the report from winner Remco Evenepoel's Team Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe.

The world champion signed off in style. Remco Evenepoel won the Chrono des Nations to bring his road season to a close. The Belgian remained unbeaten against the clock in 2026.

He claimed his fourth individual time trial victory for Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe alongside his World Championship title in Montréal.

In Les Herbiers in western France, Remco delivered another impressive performance over the 45.43-kilometre course, completing it in 49:54 at an average speed of 54.63 km/h. He finished a remarkable 2:11 minutes ahead of his closest rival, Jay Vine.

It was Remco’s third appearance at the long-standing event near the Atlantic coast. After competing in 2021 and 2023, he claimed victory for the first time.
Remco Evenepoel: “It was the last opportunity to get a win this year, so we came here highly motivated to deliver one final big performance. The course was very well suited to that. I’m happy to have finally won here. The handling, the speed and the feeling of being one with the bike all felt really good. Looking ahead to next year, it was all very promising.”
