Weather at the start/finish city of Les Herbiers at 2:20 POM, local time: 17C, with the wind from the south-southeast at 18 km/hr. There are showers in the vicinity. Occasional rain should continue through the afternoon.

The race: Winner Josh Tarling's Team INEOS Grenadiers writes:

Josh Tarling stormed to the win at Chrono des Nations to round off the road season for INEOS Grenadiers.

Tarling competed the 44.87km course in Les Herbiers in a time of 51:12 to ride into the hot seat with two riders remaining.

With Jay Vine (UAE Emirates - XRG) and Stefan Kung (Groupama - FDJ) coming in second and third, Tarling was able to take the win 30 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor.

Having battled with an injury earlier in the season, the win sees Tarling firmly back on form, taking his second title at Chrono des Nations to add to his 2023 victory.
