The race:
The Tour of Holland is a new incarnation of the Tour of the Netherlands, which underwent many changes (Benelux Tour, Binckbank Tour, Eneco Tour) as it dealt with financial difficulties. It is now run as the Renewi Tour.
The organizer explained: "The Tour of Holland marks a new chapter in Dutch cycling history. After years of absence, this multi-day stage race returns to the international calendar – a modern, international event with a rich tradition.

"This edition (2025) promises challenging stages and diverse courses. Riders will be tested in every aspect of the sport: from explosive time trials to demanding climbs, and even gravel sections that require both technical skill and endurance. Only the most complete riders have a chance at overall victory. The bar is set high – and that is exactly what the Tour of Holland stands for: a race of stature, with a focus on the future. 'The Dutch Way'."
The first edition of the Tour of Holland was a five-stage event run in mid-October of 2025.
