Weather at the city of Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët, of which the finish town of St. Martin de Landelles is a part, at 2:15 PM, local time: 26C (79F), sunny, with the wind from the east at 16 km/hr (10 mph). No rain is forecast.

The race: Carter Guichard (Nice Métropole-Côte d'Azur) did not start.

Here's the race report from fifth-place Mathis Le Berre's Team Arkea-B&B Hotels:

The Arkea-B&B Hotels team played an attacking role in the 2025 Polynormande. Mathis Le Berre broke away in the final and finished 5th, second in the peloton sprint, while Luca Mozzaton finished 8th.

Teams presentation ceremony before the race start.

Mathis Le Berre:
“I was quite active at the start of the race, but it felt strange. There was a regrouping in the final stretch, and I seized the opportunity that presented itself by attacking in the ”pigeon loft." Nicolas Prudhomme countered me at the top, so we broke away, and the group grew to include three other riders. The race was run “on the leg” (sic!). We were well represented at the front, which meant that many teams controlled the peloton. It was tense all day, the pace was fast, and everyone finished exhausted. I paid for my efforts at the start of the race at the end of this event. I did my best. I think the Tour has done me good for grueling races like this one. I found myself at the front, and the team behind me trusted me. That makes me happy and shows that they believe in me."

Mickaël Leveau, Sports Director:
"We had a numerical advantage right from the first breakaway, with three riders at the front: Anthony Delaplace, Louis Rouland, and Léandre Lozouet. The instructions were followed. Luca Mozzato was protected in case of a small group finish. The Polynormande is a grueling race, but we rode well as a team and with the determination to push forward. When everything came together, Mathis emerged with a group of five riders. He was riding very well. The feeling after the Tour de France is sometimes strange. He was riding well without being over the top. The final was decided on the pedals. Mathis finished 5th and Luca Mozzato 8th. We had all our riders, except Léandre Lozouet, in the final of this Polynormande. We rode the race we had to ride, with two riders in the top ten ».

The race gets started.
