Weather at the start/finish city of Plumelec at 2:25 PM, local time: 15C (59F), rain, with the wind from the east-northeast at 16 km/hr (10 mph).

The race: Here is a machine-translation of the report from fourth-place Thomas Silva's Team Caja Rural-Seguros RGA:

Another demonstration of teamwork by the Caja Rural-Seguros RGA team in this Saturday's G.P. Morbihan, with four riders among the day's top ten. Uruguayan Thomas Silva led the Greens across the finish line with a 4th-place finish, while Francisco Peñuela (7th), Joel Nicolau (8th), and Fernando Barceló (9th) rounded out the strong collective performance, resulting in the award for Best Team of the Race.

Early in the race, the peloton speeds by under cloudy skies.

With the final seven-lap circuit and the seven climbs to Cadoudal serving as key points, the first half of the race was marked by a three-man breakaway that was constantly controlled by the peloton, although the last member to be neutralized didn't come until the final 25 kilometers.

With the peloton already lining up for victory, the entire Green bloc remained alert at the front of the group until the sprint was launched. A crash in the final meters threatened to ruin the day's work, but the four riders were ultimately able to sprint to a good position. All of this translates into 250 UCI points, which, combined with the three points earned by Alex Molenaar, brings the total to 253, keeping the Caja Rural-Seguros RGA team as the best national ProTeam to date.

Rubén Martínez (Sports Director): “Luckily, we know these classics well, and we knew we were coming with a very strong team that adapts very well to the characteristics of these races. The goal was to always be present at the front, saving as much as possible for the finish, even with a bit of composure, and giving it our all on the final climb, which is always agonizing. Getting four riders into the top 10 demonstrates the high level of our riders. Prades had a breakdown and couldn't compete, as it would surely have been another rider who would have been in contention. We're leaving with the award for best team at the GP Morbihan as recognition of the good work done by all our riders.”
