Weather at the finish town of Mont-Saint-Eloi at 2:50 PM, local time: 13C (55F) , rain, with the wind from the south at 16 km/hr (26 km/hr). The rain is forecast to end around 4:30 PM.

The race: Here's the report from winner Artem Schmidt's Team INEOS Grenadiers.

Artem Shmidt claimed a memorable solo victory in soaking wet conditions at Classique Dunkerque.

The race gets its official start.

The young American launched a brave attack heading into the final 14 kilometers and opened out a winning margin on the run back into Mont-Saint-Eloi.

Shmidt had chance to enjoy the first win of the Netcompany INEOS era as he crossed the line four seconds ahead of the chasing pack. The success also marked his first pro road race victory.

Kim Heiduk came home seventh on a day which saw the team enliven the run in amid wet and windy conditions.
