Voeckler rode himself into yellow. He got into a fuga di bidone in 2004 that put him in yellow for 11 days.

Philippe Gilbert wins the field sprint and keeps the green jersey.

Cadel Evans is right there with Gilbert. So far Evans has ridden a faultless race and is the most highly placed contender.

This was Thor Hushovd's last day in yellow.
