| Thor Hushovd took off early in the day and swept up the intermediate sprint points, dimming any chance that Cavendish could retake the green jersey. | |||

| Carlos Sastre attacked a couple of times on the Col de Romme, but ultimately lost almost 8 minutes today. After his odd press conference where he cited an anti-Sastre conspiracy, I don't know who he's going to blame today's loss on. | |||
