Weather at the finish city of València at 3:00 PM local time: 62F (17C), partly cloudy, with the wind from the west-northwest at 31 km/hr (19 mph). There is a 38% chance of rain at 3:00 PM.

The race: Here's the report from GC winner Remco Evenepoel's Team Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe.

Remco Evenepoel defended his overall lead on the final stage of the Volta Valencia. Giulio Pellizzari was also not to be displaced from the top of the young rider classification.

On the final day of the five-day tour, Emil Herzog only just missed out on the stage win in second place. Emil was part of the breakaway group throughout the day, which ultimately sprinted to victory with a minimal lead over the field. At one point, the 21-year-old even tried to go solo. At the finish line, he was only half a bike length behind the winner.

Meanwhile, there was nothing left to play for in the overall standings. The team remained in control at all times during the short but challenging 95 kilometres from Bétera to Valencia. Remco and Giulio were always on their guard, so that the first and third places in the final result remained unchanged. With Aleksandr Vlasov in seventh place, a third professional from the team also made it into the top 10.

"It was a super good week that started well with Arne on second place," said Remco, who was celebrating his fifth win of the season. "And day by day weg get better, finishing lot of stage in the front. Now we are first and third in the final GC. It was an amaizing week in Valencia."

And Klaas Lodewyck, Sporting Director of the team during the race, alsWe are really happy with the way the Boys defended the Jersey today. First and third - Yellow and White. After Yesterday it was an objective to keep both. Especially after the time Trial that didn't count for GC, there was a little setback. But we won it and the guys kept the Moral very high. The fact that Emil was in the breakaway today wasn't really planed but it turned out well. In general we did more than we could ask from the riders. we could have asked of the riders."

Weather at the finish city of Teulada Moraira at 2:20 PM, local time: 16C (60F), partly cloudy, with the wind from the southwest at 24 km/hr (15 mph). There is a 10% chance of rain.

The race: Here's the report from stage winner Remco Evenepoel's Team Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe.

Valencia: Remco Evenepoel wins 4th stage with a 13-kilometre solo ride and takes the lead in the overall classification

With his second stage victory in the current Volta Valencia, Remco Evenepoel has climbed to the top of the overall standings. On the fourth stage of the race, the queen stage, the Belgian broke away from the leading group 13 kilometres before the finish and then rode solo to his fourth victory of the season.

Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe used the penultimate climb of the 172-kilometre stage from La Nucía to Teulada Moraira to thin out the field with an aggressive riding style. One climb later, Remco finished the job. By the finish line, he had built up a 24-second lead over Joao Almeida. Giulio Pellizzari finished strong in third place, tying with him in time.

The daily classification also reflects the overall standings. Before the final stage of the tour, Remco now has a 29-second lead over Almeida, who is two seconds ahead of Giulio. The 21-year-old has thus taken the lead in the young rider classification.

"It was really difficult towards the line. Of course I went quite all out on the hill. But there was headwind on big road to the finish. It was tough, but I knew it was tough for the guys in the back. So I kept pushing.

"The team was really incredible today. They helped me from the first to the very last metre. It's great that Giulio managed to finish third, even though he gave so much for me." — Remco Evenepoel

"We had a clear plan today. And that was to make the race as difficult as possible. Everyone really committed. It was impressive by the guys. It's a big win. Now we need to recover and then hopefully protect the result tomorrow." — Klaas Lodewyck

Weather at the finish city of San Vicente del Raspeig at 2:50 PM, local time: 19C (67F), partly cloudy, with the wind from the south-southwest at 16 km/hr (10 mph). There is a 13% chance of rain.

The race: Here's the report from stage winner AJ August's Team INEOS Grenadiers.

AJ August pulled off a superb stage victory on day three at Volta Comunitat Valenciana.

The 20-year-old American claimed his first professional win in style, keeping a cool head as a four-man breakaway sprinted it out into San Vicente del Raspeig.

With sprinter Ben Turner behind in the chasing peloton, August was able to sit in during a nail-biting run-in, before launching a powerful sprint in the final metres.

After a number of near-misses in 2025, the win marks the next step in August's career.

The foundations for success were laid earlier, with the Grenadiers able to place numbers up front following the ascent of the Puerto de Tibi. Magnus Sheffield, Kim Heiduk and Turner were all present before the group swelled further on the run-in, and August made a decisive move.

In the bunch sprint behind Turner came home second, equating to sixth on the stage as he moved up to eighth overall. He is joined by Sheffield and Victor Langellotti just 10 seconds back on leader Biniam Girmay (NSN Cycling Team).

Weather at the finish city of Alginet at 3:20 PM, local time: 21C (70F), showers in the vicinity, with the wind from the west-southwest at 40 km/hr (25 mph). The rain is forecast to end at 4:15.

The race: Because of the high winds, though the stage is being run, the results will not count towards the GC.

Here's the official statement: As a result of the safety protocol meeting, comprising the various departments previously communicated, and following a thorough analysis of the situation and the conditions under which the stage will be conducted, the decision has been taken to proceed with the start in accordance with the planned route.

Nevertheless, it has been agreed that the times recorded will not count towards the general classification. The stage will have a stage winner, and the corresponding podium ceremony will be held in accordance with the established protocol.

Guillaume Boivin (NSN Cycling Team) & Giacomo Villa (Petrolike) did not start.

Here's the report from stage winner Remco Evenepoel's Team Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe:

The world champion against the clock secured his third individual victory of the season on stage 2 and the sixth for Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe in the course of the year.

Aleksandr Vlasov also achieved a strong result, finishing second, just eight seconds behind Remco after 17.5 kilometers.

Due to strong winds, the jury and race organizers, in consultation with the teams, decided that the competition should be held on normal road bikes and that the times would not count towards the overall classification. However, a stage victory was still up for grabs. This made it possible to minimize risk.

There was still a stage win to grab and I also wanted to respect the organisation. They decided to keep the race go for a stage result and I decided to do a race. We also need to be real sportsmen in our minds and be ready for flexibility as well. For me it was not a big difference because I know I can also ride pretty fast on a normal bike. We decided to race for the victory and I think it was a good decision.Aleks and I are in first and second place today, which is a pretty good result for us. We prepared all day like it was a normal TT day. It was a good test with a nice result.

Complete results:

These times do not count towards the GC.

The race: Here's the report from second-place Arne Marit's Team Polti-VisitMalta:

Team Polti VisitMalta had a strong and ambitious start to the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana. The first stage resulted in a greater selection than expected in the middle section, and although the sprinters managed to rejoin the peloton in the final kilometers, the battle was fierce in this opening stage of the competition.

Earlier, a breakaway of four riders, including Diego Pablo Sevilla, who gave the Alberto Contador Foundation ProTeam a prominent role, contested the key points of the day. Time bonuses on the Alto del Madroño climb went to a very active Sevilla, allowing him to move into fifth place overall, tied on time with Lonardi.

And indeed, the Italian sprinter, perfectly guided in the final kilometer by Mirco Maestri, was able to launch his sprint for victory. Only Girmay (NSN) and Marit (Red Bull Bora) managed to beat him, in another impressive performance at the start of this season.

Giovani Lonardi: “The objectives were met perfectly, thanks to a great effort from the whole team. Diego Sevilla broke away while the rest of us tried to maintain our positions and save energy for the end. My positioning in the sprint was excellent, and I was just centimetres away from winning. I got right on Girmay’s wheel, but I lacked a bit of power when he attacked from so far out, and I tried to catch up. The feeling was great, the team worked flawlessly, and I’m very happy with the podium finish. Let’s try to keep this up!”

Tomorrow, the competition continues with the 17-kilometer individual time trial between the towns of Carlet and Alginet.
