Weather at the finish city of Namur at 1:50 PM, local time: 21C (69F), fair, with the wind from the northeast at 23 km/hr (14 mph). There is just a 1% chance of rain.

The race: Julien Simon (TotalEnergies) & Vito Braet (Intermarché-Wanty) did not start.

Here's the report from winner Roger Adrià's Team Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe.

Roger Adrià took his first win in the Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe colors today at the GP de Wallonie. The parcours may not have been brutal by Belgian classics standards, but its numerous climbs scattered from start to finish, with a cobbled final ascent to the Citadelle de Namur and its many switchbacks, took a toll on the peloton.

Early in the race with Lotto Dstny, Cofidis & Tudor Pro Cyclng controlling the peloton.

The race boasted a strong field and a hotly-contested finale, with several moves coming in the latter part of the race. However, the team from Raubling was one of the squads that remained attentive to keep any gaps within reach.

The Spaniard was positioned well ahead of the final kilometer, where the peloton brought back the last move of the day. Tucked behind the wheel of Aranburu, Adrià timed the jump well, launching his sprint right ahead of the line to claim the victory in Namur.

Roger Adria:
“I felt really good the whole day, really strong. The team supported me very well and put their trust in me. They were really committed to helping me take the win here. The trust they had in me gave me that extra bit of confidence. In the sprint, I had really good legs, and I was in a good position in the finishing straight. I’m really pleased that I could finish it off to take the win.”
