Schleck couldn't shake Contador from his wheel.

Robert Gesink and Denis Menchov tried to catch Schleck when he attacked but couldn't close the gap.

Samuel Sanchez (Euskaltel) and Chris Horner were right behind the Rabobank pair as they went by Fotoreporter Sirotti.

Joaquin Rodriguez (Katusha) and Ryder Hesjedal came in a very worthy third and fourth today.
