Near Blairsville, Hiawassee, and Helen. The climb starts at Jacks Gap at the intersection of GA 180 and GA 180 Spur Road.
There use to be an annual time trial (in conjunction with GA Race Weekend)
Highest Paved Road Climb in Georgia. The main climb is 2.5 miles, from Jacks Gap to the summit parking lot. However, the parking lot is not the actual summit. Unfortunately, bicycles are not allowed up the .5 mile paved summit access foot trail up to the summit visitor center and observation deck. If you're daring and want to break the park rules, ride up the final .5 mile. It's very steep and narrow— but well worth the effort!! The full climb 2,700 feet in 2.7 miles (19% avg grade).
Burnt Mountain

On Highway 136 and Highway 108 (Sunrise Ridge Road); near the Mountains of Big Canoe and a few miles east of Sassafras Mountain; a few miles north of Jasper.

There is not a paved road to the summit of Burnt Mountain, but Highway 136 and 108 go over a major portion of it.
